Public Safety-registration of vehicles
	In order to facilitate the secure transfer of ownership all registrations of used vehicles  are validated to ensure that the change of ownership process has been completed.
	As proof that the vehicle is registered, a  registration certificate (RC1) is issued on an original face value document
 
	The motor vehicle will either be exempt from licensing  (MD/MIBstock) or will be liable for licensing.
	A registration must be done within 21 days of sale as stated in the Road Traffic Act.
	Penalties for late registration are calculated at  1/10, for every month or part of a month that the applicant is late, of the appropriate fee.
	The penalties shall nor exceed  the appropriate fee.
	The vehicle should have the Titleholder and owners name as the same person.
	In the case where a financial institution is the Titleholder of a vehicle and a Motor Dealership/or other person has settled the account,
	proof thereof from the  financial institution should be attached.
	All copies attached must be clearly visible and identifiable and originally certified as true copies.
	Signatures on forms must be original.
	Forms must be fully and correctly without any alterations completed.
 Stamps must be visible.
	A vehicle will be registered occurring to the acceptable
	identification submitted on ID, not example a  marriage certificate
	Once a vehicle is registered it is immediately liable  for licensing.
	In the case of a motor dealer as stated in Regulation 8(3)if the a  dealership signs on behalf of a financial institution the RLV must
	have the dealerships stamp and a letter of authority from the bank.(Please take special note that only the  authorized person may sign.
	This is only  valid for financial companies)
